My teaching, scholarship, and grant-funded projects have all contributed to my service at the university, local, state, and national level. I have served on numerous university, state, and professional organization committees and editorial boards, given talks, and organized and participated in dozens of teacher workshops and institutes. I have participated in a variety of educational forums and conferences; judged student historical competitions; and reviewed grant proposals for funding and manuscripts for potential publication. Moreover, I have initiated and directed history education advisory boards, websites, and newsletters.
In 2012-2013, I was selected to be part of Northern Arizona University President John Haeger’s Leadership program with 24 other faculty and staff. The program was rich and extremely beneficial. Not only did I meet fantastic people, but I learned much about the university mission and operations.
